Stop and Search resulting in an arrest

East Sheen officers have been aware of a MALE who has been seen at numerous locations where he has possibly been involved in activities relating to drug offences. After making off from officers on previous occasions, we were able to locate the male and after a small amount of resistance, the MALE was detained with the assistance of Kew and North Richmond officers. Due to previous intelligence and sightings of the MALE, a s23 drug search was carried out where over 80 snap bags of CANNABIS along with further smaller bags of cocaine and a large amount of cash. 

The MALE was arrested on the spot and transported to custody to be presented for the offences and after further investigation, there were also immigration breaches discovered for which he is now also getting charged for. 

It was a positive outcome to get such amount of drugs off our streets and to also disrupt the activities taking place as well as now being able to put forward all other offences that the MALE has been linked to.
